William Cloyce Boone

William Cloyce Boone December 3, 1940 – April 10, 2025 William Cloyce Boone, age 84, of Broaddus, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 3, 1940, in Houston, Texas, William was the cherished son of Samuel Luther Boone and Vera Mae (Martin) Boone. He was the youngest of three boys and four sisters and grew up in a family full of love. William was the beloved husband of Frances (Burnes) Boone for 65 years. Together, they built a life rooted in love, faith, and family. He was a loving father to his only daughter, Sharon Dee (Boone) Stump of Carrabelle, Florida. William had a deep love for family, church, and friends. Known for his infectious laughter, he also enjoyed playing the guitar, piano, and singing, bringing joy to those around him with his music. He was passionate about racing fast cars and motorcycles and was always ready to help a friend in need. His selflessness and kindness left a lasting impact on all who knew him. Despite having only a 9th grade education, due to the necessity of becoming the breadwinner for his all-female household after his father passed away at a young age, William never let that slow him down. In fact, later in life, he took great pride in teaching college courses in computerized automobile frame straightening, a goal he worked tirelessly to achieve. William is survived by his wife, Frances; daughter Sharon; grandchildren Sarah Davis (spouse Chad Davis), Allison Stump, Kevin Stump (spouse Alicia Stump); great-grandchildren Kaylee and Brooklyn Davis, Kyler Colon, Lo Dee Stump, Libby Casey, Alexander Adams; and a host of extended family and friends who were touched by his kindness and generosity. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers (infants), and sisters Shirley, Anne, Virgie, and Violet (infant). A celebration of life will be held later in the year in his hometown of Houston, Texas. The family will inform every one of the dates when they are decided. William’s legacy of love, laughter, music, and generosity will forever be cherished, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
