Roscoe Pleasant Grant III

Roscoe Pleasant Grant, III was called home to our Lord on June 9th, 2023, in the company of his beloved wife & three fur babies, surrounded by the love of his children & grandchildren. Born in Gainesville, Ga on May 14th, 1957, he lived an adventurous life being raised in Leon County where he attended Rickards High School by his grandmother Mildred Goodrich Eiland, also known as “Mickey” and settled in Wakulla County where his family roots run deep. Roscoe Grant was a talented & accomplished man who mastered many career paths. He became a certified welder at the age of 17, he was a paramedic with Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for 14 years, he has worked closely with Leon & Wakulla County Sheriff’s Department, as well as a Pat Thomas Law Enforcement instructor. He traveled the United States for Melton trucking company, and he ended his successful career path as the owner of Grant’s Trailer Repair, a partner with Purify Air LLC. and the Welding Instructor for Lively at Wakulla High School teaching the next generation of Welders. He loved his teaching job and was passionate about helping his students succeed in not just their career paths but their future lives as well. Roscoe Grant was loved by everyone he encountered. He never met a stranger and was never short of extending a helpful hand. His world revolved around his family and the love for his wife, Cynthia Grant, whom he married on March 4th, 2005. He loved making people laugh and always willing to share advice for any situation. He enjoyed listening to Alan Jackson, James Taylor, Toby Keith, and Blake Shelton. His favorite movies were The Pirates of the Caribbean. In his free time, you could catch him with a fishing pole in his hands, as he always said even a bad day fishing was a day well spent. Roscoe P. Grant III is survived by his wife, Cynthia Grant; his daughters: Danielle Hancock, and Kiera Grant-Gestl (Chris); his sister: Bunny Langridge (Howard); his bonus children: Steve Pichard (Susan), Brett Cimbora (Wendy), Christen Cimbora Worobec (Adam); his grandchildren: Daniel Harrison, Cody Pichard, Casie Register (Jeremiah), Sophia, Kayden, and Lyrix Gestl, Ethan Cimbora, Isabelle Hancock, Noah & Elle Worobec; 1 niece, & 1 nephew, his three great grandchildren, & his three fur babies: Lucy, Lulu, and Baxter. Roscoe P. Grant III is predeceased by his grandmother Mildred Goodrich “Mickey” Eiland, his grandfather Roscoe P. Grant, his father Roscoe P. Grant Jr., and his mother Agnes Isabelle Long. His Celebration of Life will be held on June 24th, 2023, at 10:30am at First Baptist Church in Crawfordville, Florida Skip and Trey Young, along with Paula and Kimberly are assisting the family with arrangements.
