Betty Ann Harvey

Betty Ann Harvey, 88, of Crawfordville, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Tallahassee, Florida on March 3, 1933 to her parents Jack & Elva Pelt. She grew up in Tallahassee and attended Leon High School. She married Fulton Harvey and moved to Crawfordville where they joined in business with his father L.R. Harvey, Sr. at Harvey and Son's Service Station and Grocery, where they served this community for over 35 years. The service station had a little bit of everything, dry goods, hardware, feed and seed and a full service station. After closing the store she went to work for the Department of Motor Vehicles and retired after 15 years. She loved her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was known as GG to her great grandchildren. She loved dancing, gardening and was an avid reader. After losing her husband to Leukemia, Betty was blessed to meet Bob Crane. Betty and Bob enjoyed traveling and going to dance halls with their friends. His family became her family instantly. She was a member at Crawfordville First Baptist Church. Predeceased in death by her husband Fulton Harvey of 36 years, daughter Kathy Ann Harvey, son Timothy Harvey, granddaughter Christy Taff, son-in-law Houston Taff and companion Bob Crane. Betty is survived by 2 sons and one daughter, David and Rhonda Harvey, Bruce Harvey & Beth Taff, 6 grandchildren Trafton Harvey, Amy Sherman (Travis), Windy Jones (Merwyn), Jared Harvey, Makayla Harvey & Matt Harvey and 8 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her long time sidekick and partner in crime Betty June Harvey and her beloved dog "Elvis". The family will receive friends Monday, July 19, 2021, 9:00-10:00 am and Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 am at Family Funeral Home at Harvey Young Chapel. Burial will follow at the Harvey Family Cemetery.
