Robert "Bob" Voorting

November 24, 1944 - January 27, 2022

Robert "Bob" Voorting, 77, of Crawfordville, passed away January 27, 2022, at the Margaret Z. Dozier Hospice House, with his family. Bob and his family migrated to the United States from the Netherlands at age 13. He was a United States Air Force Veteran Pilot and he had his Commercial Flying License. He retired after 20 years from the Florida Department of Highway Safety. After retiring he was Owner & Operator of Bob's Automotive for 10 years. Bob enjoyed playing golf, turkey hunting, fishing and loved to ride the roads going anywhere. Survivors include his wife of 15 years Jill Voorting, children Roxann Gunkel and husband Ryan, Aric Voorting, Derrick Voorting, Rachel Burnhan and husband Taylor & Tiffany Chancellor and husband Darian, brother Bert Voorting and wife Janna, 2 sisters Toni Smith and husband Bill & Mary Ann Trott and husband Tim and 6 grandchildren Emerson, Elin, Aurora, Lucian, Sophia & Gwendolyn. The family will receive friends Monday, January 31, 2022, 5:00-6:00 pm at Family Funeral Home in Harvey Young Chapel and Memorial Service will begin at 6:00 pm.
