Robert "Bob" E. Springer Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Robert Ellsworth Springer was born May 30,1950, in Chicago, Illinois to Wayne and Norabell Springer. Robert passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. After graduating college with a Public Relations Degree, he went to work at Santa Fe Railway in their PR Department. He then moved to Allen Park, MI where he worked for Fruehauf Corp. as their PR Manager. He moved to Boulder, Colorado and married his first wife, Sharon Pruett; they had three children, Shannon, Jennifer and Landon. Robert worked for Boulder County, Colorado as a Property Appraiser. The family moved to Aransas Pass, Texas where Robert became the Chief Property Appraiser for Aransas County. In 1987 the family moved to Florida to be closer to his parents. While in Florida Bob met and married his wife Barbara Ready in 2005. In 2017 Robert retired from the State of Florida after 20 years of service and moved to Crawfordville with his wife, Barbara. Robert is survived by his wife Barbara Ready Springer, his daughters, Shannon and Jennifer, three stepchildren, Tracy, David and James, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his beloved son, Landon Wayne, his parents, Wayne and Nora, his brother Wayne and sister Carole. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who was cherished by his family and will be truly missed. There are no services planned at this time.
