Robert "Bob" Allan Myhre

Robert “Bob” Allan Myhre, 72, of Crawfordville, passed away, April 30, 2022, after a lengthy illness. Bob moved to Wakulla County in the 1970’s to begin his long career in Wakulla County Schools. He interned and went on to teach Social Studies at WHS, where he also coached football and track. Bob helped open Wakulla Middle in 1980 as the first Assistant Principal and later served as WMS Principal from 1984-1997. In 1997 he left WMS and went to work at the district office as the Director of Finance until his first retirement. His love for Wakulla’s youth brought him out of retirement and he returned to serve students with disabilities, coach and become a guidance counselor before retiring a second time. Bob was a United States Army Veteran and deployed to Southeast Asia to support the Vietnam War and was a founding member & past president at the Trinity Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife of 46 years Judy Myhre, daughter Katie Myhre, son Rick Myhre (Elena), sister Joyce Zirtzlaff, brother Tom Myhre (Jean), 2 grandsons Chesley & Bobby and several nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his parents Harold & Doris Myhre and his daughter Wendy Myhre. The family will receive friends Friday, May 6, 2022, from 4:00-5:00 pm at the River of Life Church and the Funeral Service will begin at 5:00 pm. Interment will follow immediately at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church Cemetery.
