Richard Pace Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Richard "Rick" Lonnie Pace, 59, passed away unexpectedly on January 3, 2022. He was born on October 30, 1962, to Lonnie Pace and Geraldine Strickland White. He graduated from Eau Gallie High School in 1980 and enlisted in the United States Air Force. After leaving the Air Force, in 1990, Rick became employed with McDonnell Douglas (eventually Boeing) in Avionics which became a lifelong love of working on fighter jets. His presence at NAS-JRB New Orleans will be greatly missed. Rick was extremely intelligent, gentle and loving person. He never knew an enemy and was eager to help anyone in need. He was quick-witted, adventurous and funny. Rick enjoyed traveling, flying, brewing beer (and drinking it) and making fun of his family. We will miss having him around to annoy us. He is survived by his parents, Geraldine Strickland White and Lonnie J. Pace, 3 daughters, Andrea Hammett (Damon), Jessica Lynn Pace and Kallie Pace Roberts (Al), sister, Terry Pace, 2 brothers, Marc and Adam Pace (Eri), in addition to 5 granddaughters, 1 grandson and 2 nieces. Predeceased by his step-mother Irene Pace. Rick was an avid blood donor and in lieu of flowers we ask you to donate blood in his memory. We also ask you to drink a beer in his honor.
