Naomi Harper Buchan, 87, of Tallahassee/Crawfordville, passed away at her home July 13, 2021, with her loving family. She was born in Lynn Haven, Florida on October 18, 1933 to her parents William & Elsie Enfinger and grew up in a small fishing community outside of Apalachicola named "11 Mile". As a teen-ager along with her sister Spruce, she managed a Cafe in Sopchoppy, there she met a young George Harper, who was home from Law School at the University of Florida. They soon married and had 4 boys and a host of grandchildren & great grandchildren. She loved her family and enjoyed all the special times they shared, especially with her grandchildren. Naomi loved dancing, fishing and travel. She frequently visited the Senior Center and was known as a fantastic and elegant dancer. She is most beloved by her family and friends for her poised and loving demeanor. She was a member of the Crawfordville First Baptist Church where she used to teach Sunday School. Predeceased by her husband Judge George L. Harper of 38 years. Naomi is survived by 4 sons: George & Rhonda Harper of Crawfordville (and their children: Trey & Melanie Harper of Baxter, KY and Cheryl & Jeff LaChapelle of Crawfordville); Billy & Janie Harper of Crawfordville (and their children: DeAnna Harper and William & Kelly Harper, all of Crawfordville); Kenny & Jan Harper of Crawfordville (and their children: Wendy Harper and Tiffany & Joey Raker of Crawfordville); and Dr. Larry & Connie Harper of Tallahassee (and their children: Andrew of Charleston, S.C. and Matthew of Jacksonville, FL). She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, July 16, 2021, 5:00-7:00 pm at Family Funeral Home in Harvey Young Chapel, with Funeral Service on Saturday, July 17, 2021, 11:00 am at the same location 3106 Crawfordville Hwy. Crawfordville, Florida. Burial will follow at the Crawfordville Cemetery with an Eastern Star Service. Skip & Trey Young are assisting the family with their arrangements.
