Jannie Mae Raker Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Proverbs 31:25 “Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.” Jannie Glover Raker, 78, passed away on May 24, 2022. She was born to E.L. “Son” Glover and Janie Joiner Glover on November 11, 1943. She was a lifelong resident of Wakulla County and a member of Whiddon Lake Baptist Church. Jannie was a hairstylist for 20 years. She also retired from the State of Florida, and she and her son operated Raker Farm. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lowell Raker; her daughter, Jan Raker Sanders; her brothers, Lawrence Glover and E.M. Glover; her brother-in-law, Dural Raker and sister-in-law, Gail Winona Dallis. She is survived by her children, Lowell “Doug” Raker Jr., (Stacie) and Linda Vause (Wesley); her sisters, Mary Glover Fields (Roger), Susie Tooke and Grace Mock; her brothers Barrie Glover (Betty) and William Glover (Sharon); her closest friend, Linda Harvey Raker; her grandchildren, Pamela Raker, Dustin Raker and Gregory Stelter; her great grandchildren Ethan Raker and Easton Raker. Most importantly, she is survived by her grandson Trey Raker, who made her life complete and kept her going through her last days. In lieu of flowers, the Family welcomes donations to Big Bend Hospice as an expression of sympathy. There will be a graveside service on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Whiddon Lake Cemetery.
