Freeman Pigott Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Freeman Pigott, 83 of Medart, Florida passed away surrounded by his family on May 31, 2022. He was born in Sopchoppy, Florida to the late Clinton Pigott and Bertie Revell Pigott. Freeman spent all of his years in Wakulla County and was a well-known building contractor. He served his country in the United States Army. He was of the Baptist Faith. Freeman was a man who was loved by people of all ages and colors. He never turned away anyone in need of help and he was a mentor to people in all walks of life. He is survived by four children, Lance Pigott (Dawn), Rouse Pigott, Melanie Pigott "His Angel", and Kobe Pigott, all of Wakulla County; loving friend and mother of his children, Joyce Pigott; nine grandchildren, Danielle Kachnycz (Patrick) of Savannah, Georgia, Lauren Pigott, Chason Pigott, Erin Pigott, Brandon Pigott, Cheyenne Pigott, Kori, Kanan and Kayson Pigott and their mother, Nicole Singleton, all of Wakulla County; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind three devoted sisters, Bertie Crutchfield of Sanford, Florida, Lessie Crum and Dora Dugger (Jimmie) of Medart, Florida; and sister-in-law, Linda Pigott of Chipley, Florida. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph Pigott (sister-in-law, Anita), and Ray Pigott; and brothers in law, Jay Crutchfield and Terry Crum. Freeman's family would like to extend thanks to Big Bend Hospice and all who visited and sent cards and food. Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 2, 2022, 5:00-7:00 pm at Family Funeral Home at Harvey- Young Chapel. Visitation will be Friday, June 3, 2022, 11:00 am-12:00 pm at Friendship Primitive Baptist Church with Funeral Service at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Pigott's Cemetery.
