Daniel Lynn Strickland Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Daniel "Dan" Strickland, 87, of Sopchoppy, died Saturday, June 4, 2022, in Tallahassee. Dan was a native of Sopchoppy, where he graduated from Sopchoppy High School and went on to play football & graduate from Florida State University. Dan was a United States Navy Veteran and worked for 33 years as a Logistical Engineer for McDonald Douglas Aircraft in Titusville, Florida, with the NASA program. Dan was a member and Deacon of Sopchoppy Southern Baptist Church, he loved RVing, piloting small aircraft, fishing, boating, farming, growing corn and very large onions. Dan is preceded in death by his parents George and Eloise Strickland, sister JoAnn Catoe and two infant daughters. Survivors include his wife of 62 years Sandra Langston Strickland, brothers, George Edwin Strickland and Leona, Malcom "Mo" Strickland and Rita & Robert Strickland and Regina, Sisters, Sarah Strickland & Nena Anderson and Randy, brother-in-law Marshall Catoe and many nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends for Visitation on Monday, June 6, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Sopchoppy Southern Baptist Church and the Funeral Service will be 10:00 am, Tuesday June 7, 2022 at the Church.
