Robert Andrew Murray, 63, of Carrabelle, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026. A lifelong resident of Carrabelle, Robert devoted his life wholeheartedly to his faith, his family, and the community he loved so dearly. A proud graduate of Carrabelle High School, Robert began his career in public service with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, where he faithfully served for nine years. He later continued his commitment to serving others with the Florida Department of Corrections for twelve years. Yet beyond his professional career, Robert’s true calling was ministry. Robert had a deep and unwavering love for the Lord. He lived his faith daily—not only from the pulpit, but in the quiet, unseen moments of kindness, encouragement, and prayer. He served faithfully as an associate pastor and board member at the Carrabelle Christian Center before answering the call to pastor at High Calling Church in East Point. Most recently, he shepherded the congregation at Carrabelle First Assembly of God, where he poured his heart into preaching the Word and strengthening families in their walk with Christ. His impact reached far beyond church walls. His faith was not just something he preached—it was something he lived with humility, conviction, and love. Robert found peace and joy in God’s creation. He especially loved turkey hunting and fishing along the river. Above all else, he treasured time spent with his family, particularly his three beloved granddaughters, who brought immeasurable joy and pride to his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Walker and Charlotte Murray. Robert leaves behind a powerful legacy of faith and love. He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 34 years, Lisa Murray; his children, Aaron Murray (Lauren) and Matthew Murray (Kaleigh); his brother, Richard Murray (Debbie); and his cherished granddaughters, Charlotte, Everly, and Adalynn. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Carrabelle First Assembly of God.
