Thomas Ray Loucks

Thomas R. Loucks, age 84, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. Thomas (Tom) was born on April 14th, 1938 in Andover, N.Y. to Claude and Rebecca (Reisman) Loucks. He graduated from Andover Central School in 1956 and was a proud Eagle Scout. He graduated from Alfred State College in 1958 majoring in Business Administration (pinochle and chess). Thomas enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was also known to be a very good bowler with at least two 300 games to prove it. Tom had a deep Christian faith and was an active member of the White Stone Chapel in Penn Yan, New York until he moved to Tallahassee, Florida where he joined the Trinity House of Prayer Church. Thomas is survived by his loving wife Helen Loucks. He is also survived by his son, Christopher (Sharon) Loucks, daughters, Tracy (Edward) Schaner, Nicole (Steven) Flint, and Susanne Loucks, daughter-in-law Glenda Loucks, stepson Major (Jody) Mitchell, stepdaughters Kimberly (Keith) Whaley, Bonita Gourley; grandchildren, Megan (Billy Stinson) Loucks, Aidan Loucks, Annie Phyllis Loucks, Jordan (Elisa) Schaner, Kaleb Schaner, Kyler (Hanna) Schaner, Eli Schaner, Madeleine Flint, Alexandra Flint, Gillian Flint, Kevin Flint, and Devin (Ian) Henderson, step grandchildren Damien Mitchell, Blake Mitchell, Sharda Pino, Brandon (Kailyn) Ash; great grandchildren; Tristan and Ryan Bryant, Trey Stinson, Natalie Henderson, step great grandchildren Kelby and Magnolia Ash and Luna Mitchell; brother Jeffrey (Angela) Loucks, several close nieces and nephews- many of whom were gifted his stories via colorful text messages. Thomas was predeceased by his wife of 61 years and high school sweetheart Phyllis née Drew-Riffle; son Thomas Loucks II; sisters: Genevieve (William) Schultz, Louise (Louis) Redman, Beverly (Edwin) Schmidt, Sharon Jeffries and Patricia Loucks. Also, a brother, Earl Reisman and parents Claude Loucks and Rebecca Loucks. Thomas’ funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 11:00 a.m. at Trinity House of Prayer Worship Center, 953 Oak Ridge Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32305. A graveside service will be held in June per Thomas’ wishes in Andover, New York. More information will follow.
