Robert Lee Sullivan "Bob", 66, of Carrabelle, died Friday, December 18, 2015 at Tallahassee Memorial. His wife Virginia and other family members were by his side. He will be remembered by all for his fun loving ways. Bob and Virginia moved to Carrabelle 12 years ago to enjoy his retirement. He was an electrician for 20 years and worked for Weston Trawick Electrical Contractors. He was very adventurous; loved deer hunting, canoeing, kayaking, boating, camping, hiking, gardening and wood working. Bob spent many years camping and hunting with Tommy Dyer in Tate's Hell on the Apalachicola River and many years camping with his 2 sons, Troy & Chad, and their families at Easter. He and his close friend Jack kayaked rivers and springs in Florida. He and his wife Virginia, were proud owners of a 1952 Airstream Caravan which he remodeled and traveled to many destinations in Florida. He loved nature and loved being outdoors. He snorkeled reefs in the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Bahamas, the 2nd largest reef in Belize to the small reefs in the Florida Keys. Bob truly refined the fine art of "piddling". He was always bringing home driftwood, cedar and anything that he could create a new masterpiece with. He created many wood working designs for the outdoors and indoors. He enjoyed working in the yard and created a beautiful shade garden. Bob enjoyed his life and would say to everyone, take your time and don’t always be in a hurry, “stop and smell the roses’. Bob loved his 2 "hairy" friends Brandy & Sandy. He will be remembered by everyone for his commitment to his family and friends and his love for his best friend Virginia. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Virginia, sons Troy Sullivan (Nicole) & Chad Sullivan (Allison), mother Ruby Sullivan, brother Bill Sullivan (Dale), brother in law Ken Johnson (David), 8 grandchildren Garric C. Sullivan Petty Officer 3rd Class USCG, Conner C. Singletary Hospital Corpsmen United States Navy, Savannah, Keirra, Asia, Tucker, Senior Airman Logan Sullivan United States Air Force and Hunter, 2 nephews Trent & Travis Sullivan, many close cousins and lifetime friends Jack Carwile and John Johnson. Predeceased by his father John Ellis Sullivan Jr. There will be a "Celebration of Life" Saturday, January 9, 2016, 1:00-3:00 pm at the Morgan's Home, 2700 Williams Road Tallahassee, Florida 32311.
